1. Google Glass

Google's wearable augmented reality headset first debuted in a dramatic skydiving demo at the company's 2012 Google I/O developers conference. But the company has recently confirmed that the product will ship to consumers before the end of 2013 at a cost of less than $1,500. Here comes the future, ready or not.

2. Samsung Galaxy S4

The Samsung Galaxy S3 was arguably the biggest Android phone release to date, so it's hardly surprising that the inevitable S4 is leading the pack as one of the most anticipated phones of 2013. While details on the device remain strictly in rumor mill territory, the best guesses include a 5-inch 1080p HD display, a 13-megapixel camera, and integrated support for Visa wireless payments. But one thing we know for sure: we'll be getting all of the relevant details on March 14 at Manhattan's Radio City Music Hall.

3. The next iPhone

It's a long way off being announced, but given Apple's track record (and the rumors already circulating) it's likely we'll see the next Apple iPhone in the summer or fall of 2013 -- but whether it'll be called the 5S or the 6 or something else is anyone's guess. Likely improvements will include a faster processor and increased storage. Some rumors even point to a 5S and a 6 (with a larger screen) being released at the same time -- or a cheaper, so-called iPhone Mini for developing markets.

4. BlackBerry Q10

In January, BlackBerry introduced two new phones running its go-for-broke BlackBerry 10 operating system. For reasons we still can't quite fathom, the Z10 touch-screen phone was sent to reviewers first -- but the one BlackBerry fans are really pining for is the Q10 model, which features a hard keyboard.

Expected shipping date: April 2013

5. HTC One

The Galaxy S4 isn't the only lustworthy Android superphone hitting the market in 2013. The new HTC One is a stunner, with a 4.7-inch 1080p screen, an all-aluminum body, and a camera that trades megapixel one-upmanship for a so-called Ultrapixel sensor that's designed for better low-light photography.

Price (with contract): $199.99 (32GB); $299.99 (64GB)

Expected shipping date: March 2013

6. Razer Edge

The gaming highlight of CES 2013, the Razer Edge has been turning heads for the last 12 months. Here is a handheld console/tablet that uses a fully formed version of Windows and can play the latest games. The only downsides? Its weight and short battery life may limit portability.
