Hard work goes alot further than just hoping or praying. Hardwork and prayer can go further.

But it takes a very negative type of mindset to feel jealousy over others working hard and reaping the fruits. And then hoping and praying for them to suffer. God is not an idiot to answer these peoples negative prayers.
