LHC orders release of Hafiz Saeed

LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) has ordered the release of Jammat-ud-Dawa Chief Hafiz Saeed, Geo News reported on Tuesday.

A full bench of the Lahore High Court heard a habeas corpus petition against the detention of Jamatud Dawa leaders Hafiz Saeed and Col (retd) Nazir Ahmad.

The bench, comprising Justice Ijaz Ahmad Chaudhry, Justice Hasnat Ahmad Khan and Justice Zubdatul Hussain, heard arguments of the petitioners counsel after those of the attorney general.

Talking to the media, the petitioners counsel AK Dogar said the house arrest of Hafiz Saeed is illegal and unconstitutional, adding he termed it as the violation of human rights; however, the states counsel said the government can keep any person with assigning any reason.

Dogar said that court decision indicates that the courts in the country are free, adding the court has ordered the release of Hafiz Saeed and all his friends put under house arrest with him.

The court also ordered the release of Col (retd) Nazir Ahmad.

It should be mentioned that Hafiz Saeed was put under house arrest on December 11, last year, and thus, his release was made after five months and 20 days.

LHC decision is a bold and historical one. it could have been any one of us in detention.it is a true and bold decision to end the detention of Hafiz Saeed ,col(R)nazir and any other.As i know Hafiz Saeed ,he was leading Lasakar e Tayaba which was banned and Jamat ud dawa.all those who wish to criticize HAFIZ sAEED MUST REMEMBER HIS CONTRIBUTIONS (moral and financial support) in Jehade Kashmir and must to remember is that there is not a single violation in pakistan about the law and there is not a single police Fir against banned LashkreTaYaba so far. he is a man who has great love for Pakistan and true pakistani,true Muslim who enjoys very good reputation not only in Pakistan but also in Muslim world particularly in Saudi Arabia. so my dear "NUKTACHINO" plz don't try to please india or westren countries.Must think and research about his personnel character and then write against him please.thank u.

We don't need any organization like Lashkar-e-Tayyiba or any other with illegal weapons in Pakistan.
They should submit themselves completely to the LAW of Pakistan. Nothing more and nothing less.

And I will be glad on that day when High Court will take some action against these organizations with millions of illegal weapons in their arsenal.

We do not know If this guy is the culprit or Not

Pakistani Government was under extreme pressure by the USA and other countries to do something, so they put him in jail. They absolutely had no evidence and no case against him. Thats what happens If a criminal is your leader. You can push him and make him do anything you like.

Now the beauty of Free Justice system. Noone can infulence it!

Eventhough, the government must have hated this decision because It makes them look stupid but they can't do sh*t about it.

Thank You People of Pakistan for making this possible.

It will take some time to take place fully but dair aaye drust aaye.

Also I just heard that CJ is also working on NRO case
