In democracy public representatives are to serve the country and hold accountable for their performance not the other way round. Moreover democratic norms and practices vary as par states' socio-economic-political and strategic stratification. In this way democracy is an evolutionary process. Therefore Middle Eastern democratic model is absolutley non-comparable to the western democracies which evolved through a process over hundreds of years. Emergence of democracy is a phenomenon different from imposing democracy. Some kind of integrated model with more checks on it is suitable for Pakistan. Council system appears more suitable to diffuse local issues and solve some deep rooted problems .

Thanks mubasher Luqman,very serious programme which brought tears in the eyes but who is gonna listen and do something about it.To hell with this kind of democracy where people are living and treated worse than animals.I would say govt,opposition,army ,judiciary and people themselves are involved for their worst condition.who can live in conditions like this no gas,no electricity,no water,no CNG,no petrol ? where people should go for their problems when no one is ready to listen.we people expect everything from God but dont want to take any action ourself.why PM dont announce elections so the new govt take place and take the nation out of this chaos but their personel interests are more important than national interests? As for the problems of the people,they can go to hell. Govt dont care ?They only care about the senate elections,in the meantime nation might go through *******. A useless Parliament has become a pawn in the hands of this govt and opposition are their partners?

This is the worst scenariowhich is shocking, Luqman; has presented of democracy in this country, it is a daylight robbery and no one is there to stop them. Just imagine how these thievescome on talk shows and defend themselves without any remorse and they have notfinished yet, they want to continue plundering. They have ruined my country,sucked it dry in the name of democracy. Saying in English is, that, you canmilk the cow but dont pull the tits off so that you can get the milk again butthese crooks are pulling the tits off. Their crime is not forgivable they areleaches sucking blood out of poor and innocent people of this country. Theybought out MQM, ANP, and Elahi brothers, unfortunately gangs are united andpeople are ransomed. These so called collaborators are equally responsible inthis crime against state. My request would be to the Supreme Court that not tobe on pussy footing, people are behind you, never let them down have some heartand get your verdicts implemented. They are hardened criminals soft approachwill not affect them.

Mian Sahib open your eyes and see the conditions of the people .when someone raised the slogan"go zardari go", you stopped him that he wont go like this then tell the nation how he will go. Dont play the double game with the people ? Thats what making the people upset and when I write about it ,you get upset. PML-N members resign from parliament and call for an election and get the country out of this mess.what is your problem ,not resigning from the parliament?
