Pathetic remarks by Fawad Ch....

For the record, this Islamic government has been collecting 90% custom duty on import of all alcohol for many years.

It is only forbidden for poor and middle class. All rich and elites drink like thirsty pigs.

fawad is absolutely correct.
this proposed bill is a red herring.

why are no new bills against corruption?
against poverty?
against nepotism

any new alcohol-specific bill will be used to exploit and abuse the weak.

Shame on you MF....
Can you provide example from one country other than Pakistan where Laws are created based on religion?
If Alcohol is bad for Muslim then how its good for non-Muslims? Either such thing must be prohibited for everyone or non in the state.

Yes, it is considered haram in Islam but not in any other religion.
If a non-Muslim wants to drink it than it is his right.
Tomorrow you will say that if anyone wants to commit ZINA than it is ok?

Please give me example that Alcohol is Halal in one religion like Jewish, Christianity etc?
All I am saying is that Law should be same for everyone not person specific?

I don't care if it is halal in Christianity or Jewish religion and whether they drink or not. I am here to defend Islam it is not person specific but religion specific.

During Hazrat Mohammad's time, not everyone was Muslim. People were free to go to their churches and temples and they were not forced to follow Islamic Religious restrictions.

No, not at all, Churches and temples are not allowed in an Islamic state. Even today there are no churches and Temples in Saudi Arabia.

Answer : UAE . In Dubai, Liquor licenses are only issued to people who are non-Muslim. The penalties for Muslims who are intoxicated are more severe and do include corporal punishment .

You are extremely ignorant of history. Right now the population of Jews and Christians in saudi arabia is near non-existent, but in the time of the prophet they lived there in sizeable numbers and had their places of worship. Prophet's interaction with christians and jews are mentioned in many places all over quran.

Molana sahib read some books for a change. Churches and temples are ABSOLUTELY allowed in an Islamic state. The non-muslims have full rights as muslims.

Here is the problem with this, how does the state know what is your religion? islam's 30+ popular sects have each its own versions, which one will the govt implement?w hat will happen to the others? what if a person's religion changes what right is it of the govt to interfere what the internal beliefs of the person are? making laws based on religion or sect is unjust to people who do not believe in the same sect or religion, fundamental human rights get violated.
