You see highly educated Hindu students in an Indian university will beat someone without mercy if one is suspected of eating beef. In one of the top universities of Pakistan well educated boys attacked ferociously to a man (who was with his wife) thinking he is doing something against their religion.
When I see this , a famous quote of a Nobel Laurate " Steven Weinberg " comes to my mind , he had said that
Religion is an insult to human dignity. With or without religion you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

Debarring them is not enough, these criminals beat someone seriously , according to Pakistani law there has to be criminal charges against them, they have to be arrested.

If you want to take Pakistan to a next level ban all the religious parties and molviz from doing politics. Religion should not be allowed to interfere in state affairs just like in any good democracy.

student unions should be banned, period. I dont think Pakistan is mature enough for politics at the student union level. They just become grounds for recruiting young thugs. MQM , MSF, PSF and JTI are classic examples.

Jamati scums, their gangs are doing same thing all over the country, have personally met a guy who went through same experience (visiting karachi university with his wife), and his wife was also attacked.
