Ambani Hospital in Mumbai has launched a robotic surgical system, known as the Da Vinci system, performing 11 successful surgeries so far. The Da Vinci system is being used to perform complicated surgeries. The robot's precision minimizes scarring, loss of blood, pain and recovery time. The robotic arms allows surgeons to execute complicated surgery such as removing only the tumor infected part of the kidney, saving the rest of the organ. The system has been widely used for prostate, uterus, kidney, and urinary bladder surgeries in other countries.
