Sheikh Rohail Asghar rejoins PML-N

LAHORE: Renowned political figure Sheikh Rohail Asghar and his son Khurram Rohail Asghar on Monday rejoined the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), saying that he regretted joining the regime-backed PML in 2002.
Addressing a press conference, Rohail Asghar said that he started his political career from the platform of the PML-N and wished to end it from the same platform. I am joining the mainstream opposition party because Mian Nawaz Sharif has dynamic leadership potential, he said, adding that senior PML-N leader Khawaja Saad Rafique played a vital role in his rejoining the party.
Khawaja Saad Rafique congratulated Rohail Asghar for joining PML-N and said that the partys leadership and workers welcome him into the party ranks. Senior PML-N leaders Khawaja Ahmad Hassan, Zaeem Qadri, Mian Marghoob Ahmad, Ayaz Sadiq, Pervaiz Malik and Rana Tajammal Hussain were also present at the occasion.
