ISLAMABAD/LAHORE: Federal Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid has said that a case will be registered against Imran Khan for incitement to violence if anything happened to him.

He said this while responding to a threat by the Taliban.

Terming the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insafs (PTI) move to stop NATO supplies as a wrong decision, the minister said that Imran Khan was fixed in his purpose of ruining Pakistans relations with other countries.

Talking to the media after attending a function on Sunday, the minister clarified that Pakistani supply routes for NATO were used to transport only food to Afghanistan, and that no arms or ammunition were being transported through the routes.

He strongly criticised the PTI chairman for not naming America in his FIR (first information report) lodged against the drone strikes in Pakistani territories.

Terming the lodging of an FIR against unknown suspects a joke with the nation, he said that Imran Khans actions implied that he did not know who was carrying out such attacks. Was Imran Khan unaware of who had carried out Handu drone attack? he asked.

The information minister said that though Imran Khans heart was beating for the Taliban, his sword was serving the United States.

The minister also added that projects worth of millions of dollars were being run with US aid in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and that the people who had allowed drone attacks surrounded Imran Khan.

To queries about the PTIs sit-in protests to block NATO supply routes in Pakistan, Pervaiz Rashid said that there was no point in holding protests, as no truck passes through Pakistan on the weekends. He said that the PTI chairmans wrong polices could drag the country into isolation.

To another query about the negotiation progress with the Taliban, the minister said that the peace process was currently inactive; however, Pakistan wishes to resolve all issues, including talks with the Taliban and US drones, through negotiations.

مشرف دور میں اس پر ہونے والے ظلم کا پڑھ کر مجھے جو دکھ ہوا تھا ، اُس دکھی ہونے پر مجھے افسوس ہے ۔ایک دفعہ پھر یہ مشرف کے '' ہتھے '' چڑھنا چاہیئے ۔

اس نے جھوٹ بولنے اور نواز شریف کے جوتے چاٹنے کے لئے مفت میں مشرف کے ہاتھوں مروای .. اگر یہی کچھ کرنا تھا تو امیر مقام کی طرح کرتا

Theres a good saying in the West 'if you cant handle the heat you should leave the kitchen' seems to fit P.rasheed and co perfectly. What good are leaders if they cower in the face of challenges the same as any ordinary citizen, What was Noon doing for 5 years when they let the country sink on PPP's watch. The worst thing is they wont do anything themselves and neither will they allow anyone else to do anything.
