- The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has decided to introduce and implement International Bank Account Number (IBAN) number in Pakistan.
- IBAN is an international standard for structuring account numbers. It is globally used in transaction processing especially in cross border remittances.
- The IBAN will be operationally used both for international and domestic financial transactions post 30th June, 2013.
- Please ensure to advise your IBAN to your Counter Parties abroad for timely remittance related transactions.
- Use the IBAN Calculator in order to find your IBAN number.
- Use the IBAN Validator to verify your IBAN number.
- The Central Bank regulation for transactional use of IBAN takes effect on 1st July, 2013, whereby all banks in Pakistan are required to accept and process payment instructions with IBAN. Consequently, you will be required to provide an IBAN for all instructions for value date on or after 1st July, 2013 when making payment from or receiving payments to your account.
Here you can check your IBAN number of your Bank account in Pakistan.
