Welcome Bilal.Wish you the best of luck. There are several people such as myself who are not regular readers of columns. Atleast not any more since there are many columns, many talk shows where everything gets repeated and then websites such as this one which is more like an up to date compilation of everything. For me who is enslaved by a chair and laptop, this website remains the only choice.Often you do get to read some of the well written and important columns of the day here and your father's column is often found here and is often well received due to two key elements it has. One being that it contains the truth about everything he chooses to write upon and secondly, he supports Imran Khan, which in turn is the same things as supporting the truth. Finally, do understand a couple of things that i am sure you are already aware of. First, stop talkikng about yourself. No one loses respect more than one bitten by vanity. Every one we see on TV and in columns has an absolute fascination about being RIGHT ALWAYS. Take a look at the way the analysts speak on TV. It is as if they must always be absolutely right and wisest and most knowledgable about every single subject of life and throughout their life. From Kamran Khan and Sethi to Mubashir Lucman & Mehr Bukhari, every one is stung by this virus of considering himself the all-knowing and righteous. So i would hope that there is one new writer out there, who can actually write without himself being the fountain of wisdom.Second and last of all, treat this website like Pakistan. It is full of idiots (such as myself). You will get to read pointless and off-topic remarks not having anything to do with anything in the most matter of fact way. There will be far more silly posts than actually sane ones but dont be disheartened. Thanks a lot if your were actually able to bear with all this nonsense calmly.

1. Why was the mention of your father's name necessary? Everyone is welcome to write blogs. 2. Its the general assumption and now that you have declared your paternal association with a columnist that you d. Either way looking forward to the insights into matters of concern but remember many would not say this but you might become a super star here just because you are the son of Haroon Rasheed. barca tera super star status ab challenge honay wala haiWith great paternal power comes great responsibility.would be inclined to share the inside storiesI dnt know where u r coming from @keepinformed. His father is not an ordinary man, he is somebody to b proud of. Secondly we love barca coz he is our brother so as Machar and code decode and all others. Pls refrian from putting off newcomers and ppl like Bilal who wants to contribute on siasat.pk . Thanks hope u understand.Look at Bilawal Bhutto and Prince Williams.

Salam to all. I am Bilal ur Rasheed, son of the famous columnist Haroon ur Rasheed who writes in "Daily Jang". From now on, I shall be writing an exclusive weekly blog for Siasat.pk. Let me introduce myself in detail.

I did masters from Quaid I Azam International University Islamabad in 2011. I have been assisting my father since 3 years. During this period, I worked on two big projects, 1. Assisted him in the translation of Imran Khan's book "Pakistan, a personal history" 2. Compilation of the best columns of my father to be published as a book. I am a dress designer as well and send my designs to U.A.E and U.K. I am keen of swimming.

Talking about politics, I want to elaborate three points 1. There is no other option but the young, educated and fair people have to join politics if we want any betterment in our country. 2. We have to come out and vote for anyone which we consider good but lying on the bed on the election day makes us responsible for all the evils of a corrupt govt. 3. If army exercises extra constitutional powers which every govt blames than it is the duty of the politicians to go to the masses and use their power to take their powers back like the politicians did in Turkey and if they can't do this because they are corrupt and unpopular, they have to blame themselves.

Well thats all from me. Allah Hafiz
