It is nice to see the one year old thread revived again. Happy New year
Totally agreed.
Exactly. When I call this out, the Pakistanis throw a sissy fit. I see it as plain old stupidity.Playing with rocks cant be a hobby of those living in glass houses.

Only a Pakistani could answer like that to the old Throwing rocks and living in Glass houses analogy. hahah. Not your fault.Glass today offers different qualities. Some glasses are harder than a rock stone.

LoL. Yeah. It's a shame. But it's not their fault. It's just the way they have been raised, the society and the community they've been in contact with. It's not an incurable problem though, but one needs to invest a lot of time in other countries to learn what Humanity as a whole is all about. It's all about freeing one's mind.a blind nationalist/federalist/...ist/...ist ... etc etc.

No. I don't think Pakistan's inception was about purified muslim residence area. Admittedly the issue is a convoluted one. However the hope comes from Jinnah's constituent assembly speech. I have spoken to many academics at length as to why Jinnah provided at the end a secular manifesto when all the other time he's been using the word "Islam" all over the place? Most of these academics have tended to give the opinion that the reason is also given in Jinnah's constituent address. The need to end communal and sectarian violence. It is the realization that with Islam at the helm of Pakistan, there will be sectarian and communal issues among the minorities and within the majority. This is why I say that it is one thing to find a state and it is another thing to actually run it. One also needs to realize that prominent muslim leaders at the time of partition were against the creation of Pakistan. It is only later on in the vacuum of Pakistan did the Mullahs realized what is up for grabs.Pakistan ko "Paak" karne ki jo 80s national policy implement ki thi, ye ussi ka nateeja hai. But if you think about the whole reason for the creation of Pakistan.. a place where purified muslims reside, then from this point of view, isnt this the logical conclusion?

In my opinion it is irrelevant whatever Jinnah or Iqbal or whoever founded Pakistan in the name of. What matters is the best course of action today. We need an END to Islam's monopoly in Pakistani politics. Why do you think the Taliban fight? They hope to bring Islamic governance to an Already Islamic Republic. They just want More Islam in governance. Why do you think sectarian violence happens in Pakistan? It is all about politics. Islam has been used in Pakistan not only to create it, but to also destroy it. The sooner we the people realize that Pakistanis are just not cut out to be governed by a religion, the sooner the bloodshed will reduce. The problem is the hopelessness and poverty of every Pakistani in Pakistan. Poverty and hopelessness turn people towards Gods and Messiahs. Prosperous nations are not religious nations for a reason.
You mean Zia Dor? If yes - it is not logical at all. I think you should stick to the topic where your think you have strength.
ab kya hoga?????..........:(
