The titled reminded me of a discusison about husband/wife in another forum few years ago. One comment by someone was like a WIN formula for husbands (well for a tiny moment at least) and I qoute here...

My wife and I often used to fight on our respective in-laws but ever since I have given her my solemn word that I love her in-laws more than my own, there is peace in the house.
