We Pakistanis do not seem to understand what we need. Honesty does not make a great leader. Education does not necessarily mean a competent leader. Imran Khan has both and this still does not make him a competent leader. For Pakistan to truly progress, Pakistan needs a visionary. Visionary ecstasy releases energies which are like the energies of sex—uncaring for anything except creation.
And before you all start that Imran Khan is a visionary, he is not. PTI is just like any other party in Pakistan. Imran Khan is the head of the party. He will not relinquish this leadership of PTI until his time of death. He is playing in the same system every other party is playing.
In Pakistan's parliaments, did you all know that no senator can go against the voice of his party leader - who is not even a member of parliament. One would logically think that once you are elected into Office you are now no longer under the employment of PTI, but under the employment of the State of Pakistan. But this is not how the system works in Pakistan. Elected Officials get their paycheck from the State of Pakistan AND their Parties. Therefore they will NEVER EVER vote against their own party.
This is not how things work in True democracies and republics. The senator although maybe affiliated with a particular party, has a much bigger affiliation to the State. So we see in highly developed countries that Senators occasionally do take a stance against their own parties. By Pakistani constitution a Senator in Pakistan cannot do this. He/She *HAS* to follow his Party leadership. Imran Khan has said or even hinted absolutely nothing at changing the status quo of this messed up system of governance. Showing his Lack of true vision. We need to FREE our politicians from the Party leaders. Give each man in parliament complete autonomy to make their OWN choice.
These are the true issues of Pakistan and NO politician or party leader has ever spoken against it.
