USA wants to give India a major role in Afghanistan which is against Pakistan's interest and ISI being a Pakistani agency will look after Pakistan's interest, there is nothing to be shocked at. If Pakistan is fighting a war on behalf of sons of guns then it has every right to defend its core interests.
