On being asked by Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani on the floor of National Assembly today, the PML-N leadership assured that Jamshed Dasti would not be nabbed.
The PML-N leaders assured the premier that neither Dasti was arrested nor they had any such plans.
The NA session was held under the chair of Deputy Speaker Faisal Karim Kundi. During an order of objection, PPP Noor Alam Khan said that after an unprecedented defeat in Muzaffargarh, the PML-N is resorting to victimization as heavy contingents of police has been deployed outside his residence while his mother, brother and son had also been harassed.
Noor also called for forming of a probing committee in this regard. When the PM asked the Deputy Speaker to seek clarification from the Punjab government in this regard. Kundi then asked PML-N chief whip Sheikh Aftab to contact the Punjab government and tell the assembly about it.
Aftab, however, denied all the charges, saying that the government has no plans to arrest Dasti.
