Dollar hits historical high at Rs157 intraday in interbank market

The value of the US dollar against the rupee touched another all-time high for the second consecutive day, reaching Rs156.80 in the interbank market after an increase of Rs2.80 on Friday.

The greenback was being traded at Rs157.50 in the open market at the time of closure, showing an increase of Rs3.

In the last two days, the local currency has lost almost Rs5 against the dollar, setting a new record of Rs157 in the interbank market. The rupee’s slide had continued on Thursday as it fell as low as Rs154 in the interbank market.

Similarly, a massive increase in the value of gold was also seen today, with the yellow metal trading at Rs75,900 per 12 grams, posting an increase of Rs2,700 per 12gms.

کراچی: انٹربینک مارکیٹ میں ڈالر کی قیمت دو روپے چورانوے پیسے بڑھ گئی، ڈالر کی ٹریڈنگ ایک سو پچپن روپے چوراسی پیسے پر بند ہوئی۔

ڈیلرز کے مطابق اوپن مارکیٹ میں ڈالر 4 روپے مہنگا ہوگیا، جس کے بعد ڈالر کی قیمت 157 روپے 50 پیسے پر پہنچ گئی۔

رواں ہفتے پانچ روز میں ڈالر سات روپے چونتیس پیسے مہنگا ہوگیا، اوپن مارکیٹ میں‌ آج ڈالر ڈھائی روپے اضافے سے ایک سو چھپن روپے میں فروخت کیا گیا۔

ڈالرانٹربینک اور اوپن مارکیٹ میں تاریخ کی بلند ترین سطح پر پہنچ گیا، انٹربینک میں تین روپے دس پیسے تک اضافہ ہوا، پہلی بار ایک سو چھپن روپے میں ٹریڈنگ کی گئی۔

تاہم کاروبار کے اختتام پر ڈالر ایک سو پچپن روپے چوراسی پیسے پر بند ہوا، رواں ماہ جون کے پانچ سیشنز کے دوران امریکی کرنسی سات روپے چونتیس پیسے مہنگی ہوئی۔

ڈالر مہنگا ہونے سے ملک پر عائد قرضوں کی مالیت بھی سات سو ارب روپے بڑھ گئی، اوپن مارکیٹ میں ڈالر کی قدر میں دو روپے پچاس پیسے اضافہ ہوا جس کے بعد ڈالر کی قیمت فروخت ایک سو چھپن روپے پر پہنچ گئی۔

ڈالر کی قیمت آسمان کی بلندیاں چھونے کو بے قرار ہے، روپے کی بدترین بے قدری اور ڈالر کی قیمت میں اضافے کا سلسلہ جاری ہے۔
