Pakistan's currency is not a free float. It is commandeered by the SBP. Any sudden move in the rate is either due to heavy SBP buying/selling, or corrupt politicians whisking away funds. Current fall is due to IMF's pressure to devalue the currency, as according to IMF, Pak rupee is overvalued by at least 20%. So essentially, they see dollar at about 125 rupees or so. Happy days.

They take loans and invest in ShowCase projects to get vote. Ultimately another loan is taken to payback old loans at higher cost. This cycle will continue since real development of economy is absent. In the elections they will sell these projects and get vote. If they are reelected they will do the same again and again; if they lose the election then next government will payoff the loans and cut the development budget; since they will cut the development budget opposition PMLN will protest and revive again.

Conclusion - PMLN is anti Pakistan - they are doing white color job to attack Pakistan and dissolve Pakistaniyat once for all.

In that case the rupee should go up when the dollar goes down, but some how that does not happen. Infact the reason is our soaring overhead government expenditures and lack of austerity in every government institution, who do not consider Pakistan their home but a maal-e-ghanimat and are bent upon the policy of 'looto aur phooto'
