I dont think you watched the whole video.

Cheaper dollar = More exports. But US is not a Net exporter but a huge net importer.

A cheaper dollar will make Imports more expensive. Thats what Rickards is trying to explain in his book that the Fed is trying to import inflation from other countries. Inflation will also affect asset prices on the balance sheets of the commercial. This is another way of bailing out the Banks.

I wrote an article against using the dollar for Balance of Payment and just read the opposition to my idea in the comment section...

This clip is not only the source of this topic. logically more exports means, more jobs in country and strategically less dependence on countries like China. Currency wars strategy is to make US Products attractive for the world, create new jobs and more income per head.

More interesting is the criminal part of this war, how they keep dollar cheap? Any Idea?

Sorry about the blog link you provided, it is totally off the topic.

Chief, I dont wanna sound rude but I dont think you understand these issues.

Do you know who Jim Richards is? Also have you read his book Currency Wars?

The graph above clearly demonstrates that US has been a net importer since 1975. A cheaper dollar is going make the IMPORTS more expensive. I suggest you read my previous comment, which is the crux of Rickard's argument in his book.

Dollar printing, same way as State Bank of Pakistan devalues its currency against dollar http://www.sbp.org.pk/ecodata/OMO-Inject-Hist.pdf

Good answer, but this is not only a single way.

China prevented a revaluation of the Yuan by massive purchase of US Govt. Bonds for years. Today China possesses 1/3 of US Govt. Bonds. Same with Switzerland, it has more than 350 Billion Euros reserves in its banks.
