A crypto coin start-up has disappeared from the internet with a supposed haul of millions in investor cash, leaving a short, succinct message.

For hours, the site for Prodeum simply read: ‘Pen!s’. To make the joke even better, Prodium is a medication designed to reduce infections of the urinary tract.

The site had masqueraded as a blockchain start-up which would use crypto technology to ensure fresh vegetable delivery, with its own coin offering.

It had reportedly raised millions in venture capital money, IB Times reports – although others are more conservative about the sums involved, suggesting that few had responded to the site’s amateurish press release and initial coin offering.

Its declared goal, before vanishing, was to ‘revolutionise the fruit and vegetable industry’, using Ethereum blockchains.

Crypto currencies is one of the most vibrant business in the world though i strongly recommend people to stick to Bitcoins,Ehereum,litecoin and monero. Stay away from all the ICO's and small shitty coins and educate yourself properly about cyptoocurrencies before you invest in it.Invest with small amount. I am someone who made serious money in cryptocurrencies and still going strong. It is the newbies who suffer coz of their ignorance.I am in crypto business since 2013 and i love it. I left my job and crypto world is my job now. I do not have any boss or manager who i need to answer. Crypto busienss made me financially independent in this rat race world.

This 100€ investment is not lost, it is stuck in an exchange which is offline since last 2 weeks due to maintenance.

First of all, I am not a businessman. I am an engineer, and always have been interested in mining rather than buying/holding!
I started bitcoin mining in 2012 with SlushPool using my Nvidia GT430 (yes I know it was a very weak card; at that time the pool had MH/s mining speed, now the pool is running at Exa Hash/s!).
My next plan was to move on to FPGAs, (at the time an FPGA expert in Darmstadt was making FPGAs for bitcoin mining, 1200~2000€ price range), but before I could manage to buy one, there was news of ASICs, and the first batch of Avalon ASIC from BFL was being marketed at 6000€ price tag. I spend a month finding an investor, but due to my doctoral studies I gave up wasting time. It was really hard to convince people to lend some € because people simply were not aware of cryptocurrency at that time.
