To the people trying to prove this is PPP/Musharaf's of PMLNs achievement Lets be honest about this..

Musharaff started all this with the development of Gwadar port and started talks with China.. Zardari continued it and did many visits to China, Nawaz continued the policy and Raheel Nailed it with the security promises... One big issue that foreign investors had faced previously in Pakistan was when new govts were taking over they throwed out policies and committments done by previous govts - obviously it was enough for FDI to stay away from pakistan for this reason, another issue was security concern....

Although all of above govts have been extremly corrupt but i think lately, things have worked out really well i.e. since 2008 that is good to get FDI e.g. CPEC.. However major player to arrive at this decesion was China's fear of Afghanstn and its overall situation and they want stabalisation around them, which put pressure on pakistans establishment to change its reginal policies... More over it is actually China's initiative, not that we were very attractive but becuase of China's own expension plans.

an overstatement that it's a move of century. there have so many other bigger projects which revolutionize the world Trade and transformed the regions. it is at best a decent project with limited scope and countries involved . since Pakistan is the epicenter so all the benefits are for the Pakistan to reap.

we need to pump the breaks on cpec hype train. It is nothing buta two lane highway. And the news of other countries joining it are false. It has created many employment opportunities for Chinese engineers, but nothing for Pakistanis.
