Business in Paraguay

If any one can share his experience about Paraguay, actually planning to move paraguay. I made some research on internet but still need to know some personal experiences.

I have extensive experience of living in different countries. My advice to you will be, do not make up your mind or take solid steps until you live there for minimum of 3 years. Do not burn your boat. If you tell me how old are you, who are you moving with and what you have in your mind to do there, I might be able to help you more.

Their main industry is mining and export soybeans. Population is less than Bagbanpura Lahore. Land lock country but neighbors are Argentina and Brazil.

Are you going to do a job or starting your own business?
How did you get visa for Paraguay?
What research so far have you done?

As far as my experience is, it is extremely difficult to settle in a small country like Paraguay. Not because of scarse resorces but people dont like to share their limited space with strangers. As far as a tourist no problem but the moment they learn you are going to share limited space with them, they become hostile. Everyone knows everyone,. If they know you have money, it will disappear quickly. Don't expect any help from local police or authorities.

My Brazilian and Argentinian customers ask me to send goods to Paraguay
instead of importing directly to their own countries directly
so I assume that import rate duty must be lower in Paraguay than neighboring contries.

Traders in South American countries still enjoy very high rate of gross profit margin
in comparison with other parts of world
you should consider importing into Paraguay from Pakistan or China
Fabric or ready made garments, Surgical goods or automotive parts may be good products to start with

well Paraguay offers business immigration (5000) us $ u just need to show them in your acct , i am going to start a small business may be garments, internet cafe or computer stuff. i am all set with my require documents. well i dont know anyone personally in paraguay, large number of immigrants are from Lebanon and palastine living in asuncion ( Capital). people are friendly not problematic.... like other north american countries , import duty is 10% not so much hurdles to import stuff from other countries

thanx GeoG ..... well i wana take start up from internet cafe just to get know how of the environment what do u say ..... yes your are right .. china and US are main importers for paraguay , from pakistan they import surgical and consumer goods.. but didnt get info who is doing business from pakistan to paraguay .. can u tell me how can i get info abt this .... thnx

Dear jamil khan sab. very starnge to see ur post here. my name is faisal from gujranwala. main south america ke mulk chile mein rehta hoon. i m going to paraguay end of this month may. i have car sale business from chile to paraguay. i have many customer there. paraguay is small country and people are friendly. but same u have to be very carefull i don,t know about cafe business or else. paraguay don,t have sea port they buy most of their things buy from chile-iquique sea port where i live. everything can be settle with money. asuncion is biggest city and capital other city is Ciudad del este . it is border city between brazail and argentina. any more things specifically...ask me
