Benazir was not carrying lists in her hand. May she even did not know if there was any list.

You are obviously not aware of history at all. PPP was founded in Punjab, and Punjab is where the party found its initial power thrust. This is where ZAB got his vote from. This is the vote based on which, he refused to accept Mujiburehman as the PM.
As for Benazir, PPP was the biggest vote getter in Punjab in 1988, which led them to form the govt.

Now regarding your assertion that BB had nothing to do with the lists, good luck trying to prove something Benazir admitted to herself. She made a deal with Rajiv Gandhi whereby Pakistan would give India lists of sikh insurgents, and help quash khalistan movement, and in return, India would move back from Siachen. Stupid as she was, she gave the lists first...and waited for Rajiv to order his forces pull out, which he never did.

Benazir was a hereditary politician...she was more interested in maintaining her familys stranglehold on politics than anything else.
