To all who are/were involved in Film industry are directly and indirectly
responsible for the decay of our society. Hypocrisy was at the height
Mustafa Qureshi should be publicly flogged to show a village where
Noor Nat type people live. They people destroyed the generations.
All should be chitrool and once and for all this non-sense business should be
banned.

India is not responsible for the decline of our cinema. Bollywood also existed in the 1960's and 1970's when Pak made many good movies.

It's not due to a lack of talent but our government's have never supported this craft hence it's now on a life support machine. People will always find entertainment elsewhere if their own nation fails to provide it.

Also the claim that Bollywood is "Hindunising" Pakistan is absurd when they have 150 million Muslim's of their own and make many movies with an Islamic theme. If we're weak minded enough to abandon our own culture and language after watching a few movies then that's not India's but our problem.

We need to invest in Cinema from the top if we want to revive it instead of blaming external powers for everything.

Just out of curiosity, what you mean by govt. support? Why should govt. involve itself in film industry?

I mean the government should invest in the movie industry. It should be made into an institution.

How can govt. invest in the movie industry when sectors like health and education don't get enough money?
Govt. should stay out of this industry, it is matter of private investments and business.

well government needs to update law on this issue atleast for now even if they are not in a position to fund this industry. I used to think the same as you but I think it is wrong to ignore this industry as we can use this to promote our culture and values.

Well that's the government's problem to make sure that it can balance funds for health, education and entertainment especially Lollywood afterall that is what they're for!!!;)

The damage done to it over the past thirty years is too great for only private investor's to rectify it alone therefore the government should lay out a plan and put serious money into it atleast until the industry can stand on it's feet.
