In a long time I haven't watched a programme on Pakistani channels which actually dealt with this subject in a serious manner.

Iftikhar Ahmed is a crap interviewer and is clearly out of his depth on the subject but Ex Ambassador Ayaz Wazir manges to steer it into useful territory.

Surprisingly alot of topics are touched upon.

Foreign service is one branch of bureaucracy where we still have competent people. They are knowledgeable and good at what they do but the problem is that they are almost always trumped by those folks who have the biggest guns in pakistan when it comes to formulating pakistan's strategic foreign policy.
