Welcome to Americanisation. Hindi culture has been going downhill since President Carter visited India at the time of Mrs Gandhi. US media reported that a town was named after Carter, Carterpoor. Carter was there to introduce and negotiate business deal and to open Cheap Indian markets for American IT staff. A whole hoard of business elites came with him and many afterwards to explore such opportunities, vis-a-vis cheap market for IT , call centres, etc.
When Richard Nixon made a historical trip to China, Chinese labour offered extremely cheap labor on which Nixon was impressed and signed a memorandum of agreement. More and more business executive followed and signed manufacturing agreements, thru which we see all and everything 'Made in China'.
But soon after, thanks to Bill Gates, in early 80's, the IT sector exploded into inventions, hardware and software, Americans realised they needed to find a cheaper market for IT also. Also at the same those indian who came to the US for education and/or work, became graduates and looked for opportunities to enhance their lifestyle and business. Most of these graduates were from South India, Banglore, and Hyderabad. Americans found India providing a vacuum in these cities and grabbed the opportunity to 'invade' India for IT needs. India was left alone after the breakdown of the Soviet Union, hence Indians had no choice but embrace the opportunity provided by the Americans.
American also realised that Chinese cannot relied upon in IT since Chinese mass is weak in English as opposed to their counterpart in India.
So India, with all the rich culture, excellent social structure fell victim to the almighty dollars, as India's reserve for US was dwindling, gasoline consumption was increasing, and more and more people started moving to urban India from rural and country India.
So my Indian friends, welcome to Americanization. You didnt learn from Vietnam, Korea, Turkey (Turkey is not that badly Americanized, nonetheless still is), Philipines, Thailand etc. Now Indians will have more AIDS, divorces, social destructions, run away kids, harami kids, consumption of alcohol will go up by leaps and bounds (single moms will resort to drink to forget their loneliness), pressure on state social services helping unemployed, singles, etc) if you have any such thing.
OH YES you do have FREEDOM, US$ but at what price, you have to come up with answer yourself. Ofthis will have overflow effects in Pakistan, as we are already some gandagi, thru Bollywood, internet advertisings, etc. We cannot be immune to your 'conversion' from the finest social culture to an Americanization one.
I wish you, the Indian policy makers, had thought of the fact that where the united satans go, bring social destructions follows.
