Are we truly believers or its is mere customary proclamation of faith a surrdener?

Are we truly believers or just surrenders to customary proclamation of faith?

Surah Al-Hujuraat
49:14. The bedouins say: "We believe." Say: "You believe not but you only say, 'We have surrendered (in Islam),' for Faith has not yet entered your hearts. But if you obey Allah and His Messenger (), He will not decrease anything in reward for your deeds. Verily, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful."

A true belief entails action and action must be within the permissible limits set by Allah. Limits which can not be violated and stipulate absolute surrender to the Creator.

Contemporary Muslims often engage in debates squabbling practice is free choice even in public life while conservatives argue there is no choice but to take all rulings of the religion and completely surrender to the Commandments of Allah. So called modern and enlightened proclaim faith often referring to Surah Al-Baqarah 2:256 quoting There is no compulsion in religion.

Surah Al-Baqarah
2:256. There is no compulsion in religion. Verily, the Right Path has become distinct from the wrong path. Whoever disbelieves in Taghut and believes in Allah, then he has grasped the most trustworthy handhold that will never break. And Allah is All-Hearer, All-Knower.

However, they conveniently overlook directive of Surah Al-Ahzab 33:36 to unconditionally and completely surrender to Allah and Messenger (pbuh).

Surah Al-Ahzab
33:36. It is not for a believer, man or woman, when Allah and His Messenger have decreed a matter that they should have any option in their decision. And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger, he has indeed strayed in a plain error.

This debate of picking and choosing ruling of Allah randomly according to personal convenience and individual preference is generally based on inadequate and poor understanding of the Book of Allah. There is a propensity and penchant to vices along side a desire to claim righteousness on personal terms and provisos, a symptom and indication of deep rooted spiritual malady where faith is proclaimed but surrender to Allah remains elusive.

Are we believers or we have merely surrendered?

Even before we talk about Islam and Muslims, try to face humanity with grace and dignity.

Want to know how good a Muslim you are? try this simple test on your own self

sit with a low caste Hindu Jemadar (sweeper) and share your lunch. Try it... make sure your friends and relatives are watching you.

Sitting next to a laptop trying in Qur'an verses trying to impress each other.... do some thing out of the box for a change.

Let me share my experience, way back 1990, there was this PPP Union leader at PIAC Karachi head office . I don't remember his name, he taught me definition of what Humanity is. He made me sit and have lunch with the sweepers at PIAC. its then and there I understood what Islam is all about.

I am no one to decide who is right or who is wrong.
Thanks for your views, but you still haven't answered a simple question.

Dear TruPakistani,

SO you think there is no one who is a Muslim, people are either Sunni, Shia, Ahmedi, Ghamidi or Pervezi? Where does it say in Quran? Allah wants us to be only Muslims.

Surah Al-Hajj
22:78. And strive hard in Allah's Cause as you ought to strive (with sincerity and with all your efforts that His Name should be superior). He has chosen you (to convey His Message of Islamic Monotheism to mankind by inviting them to His religion, Islam), and has not laid upon you in religion any hardship, it is the religion of your father Ibrahim (Abraham) (Islamic Monotheism). It is He (Allah) Who has named you Muslims both before and in this (the Qur'an), .......

Do you still want to be either Sunni, Shia, Ahmedi, Ghamidi or Pervezi?

You still have not answered my question.
Why are you avoiding it.
Its a simple question. All are Muslims, so I am not asking you to tell me whether you are Muslim or not.

Dear zubair1234,

Whati is confusing in the article? I have not expressed my view. I have referenced only few verses of Quran encouraging folks to draw their own conclusions.

What is the basis of your allegation? If no solid base then its called slander. What is slander?
Please let me share another verse with all of us and a reminder. What is the consequence of raisng baseless allegations.

Annoying, falsey accusing and defaming belivers is equivlant of slander and punishable
Surah Al-Ahzab
33:58. And those who annoy believing men and women undeservedly, bear on themselves the crime of slander and plain sin.

Dear Mr. Bhatti,
No one here is putting allegations on you. The reason that I and some others are asking you such questions is that all your thread titles are misleading.

Another reason is that it is my assumption (it can be wrong) that you belong to the Ahmedi community. (I will apologize if you don't).

So do you belong to the Ahmedi community or not?

I would request you to clarify this doubt so that a fruitful discussion can take place..
