Imran Khan says we must learn to manage economic growth and poverty alleviation from China. I welcome this idea. But please don't learn from what IMF says about China. China never followed the neoliberal mantra of the IMF. China didn't merely grow because they opened up, liberalised, and allowed free market capitalism. China's economic growth rate kick started because they eliminated feudalism in 1949. They continue to incorporate one of the largest state sectors of all the economies in the world. Poverty alleviation is impossible through the free market. So Khan sb, if you want to learn from China, here are my recommendations: Eliminate feudalism and forget free-market neoliberalism.
