Pakistani judiciary, which ranks among the lowest in the world, has earned another distinction because of this disgraced judge.
In the last year, more than 150 cases were filed against one man - Imran Khan. These judges don’t have the acumen to see through that most of those cases were politically motivated. Still, this judge insisted that for bail Imran Khan should appear in person, while many others were granted bail by other courts.
Imran Khan was attacked, and bullets were sprayed on his body. When the question of Imran Khan’s security was raised then this man replied that he also has threats. But this man didn’t distinguish that he hasn’t been attacked whereas Imran Khan was.
Imran Khan was an injured man. His vehicle was not allowed to enter into judicial complex whereas it was allowed for many other people. Still, he took no action.
At one of the hearings, there were many white-clothed people who tried to get closer to Imran Khan (probably to hurt him). Despite the fact that Imran Khan was attacked once this man didn’t ensure any protection for him.
The man who attacked Imran Khan was given the facility to participate via videoconferencing but when the same was asked of Imran Khan his attitude was nonchalant.
This incompetent man can’t hide behind the doctrine of contempt of court. Despite what he says his action portrays a different picture. He played in the hands of those who wanted to arrest Imran Khan and he set the stage for them.
The onus is on lawyers to not appear in this man's court and ensure that he is given an unceremonial discharge.
