Anti aircraft guns are the most ineffective weapon against Jet aircraft. Its basically shooting blindly in the air hoping to hit something with flak.
You have to be lucky to even get a strike with a SAM. Best defense against a enemy jet is a jet and its air to air missiles and as the air martial was explaining that scenario didn't develop and they ran back across the LOC.
Anti aircraft guns are not accurate, and the are not meant to be. it is their large and ubiquitous numbers rather than accuracy that make them indeed a true threat. My question was did we try to use them on this instance?

yeh jo apnay apnay conputers ki gaand mein ghuss ke tarjumaani kartay phir rahay hain yahan ke yeh karna chahiyay thay, woh karna chahiyay tha... you need to understand the whole scenario, its not as it seems... there is a global/diplomatic pressure... our army actually handled it very well. They let India appear as the war-mongerer by letting them tresspass (however they quickly chased them off without any damage). Now on face value, yes it may look bad that how dare we let them in and not shoot them down etc etc... but you wait and watch the next time they enter it will not be pretty for them as now we have open pass to attack them. We dont want war, but the haram khor buniyaas are a stupid enemy, and we need to handle them appropriately, no machoism needed. There is a ton going on in the background, have patience, yeh koi psl ka game nahin hai...
