Admin's and Members' Response to Renewed Sectarian Conflict on the Forum

Since ISIS has started making news, there has been a significant increase in sectarian posts and arguments on the forum. I keep seeing a few members who continuously spread hate against other sects. The forum shouldn't be used to let these extremists spread their propaganda and I request admin to take stricter action them.

Furthermore, by replying to these comments which incite sectarian conflict, we are encouraging these deluded extremists to spew even more of their hate. Lets report them wherever we see a sectarian comment and make the forum a cleaner place again.

Siasat.pk should not be allowed to be hijacked by those who wish for us to kill each-other. Lets stand united against that mentality.

I agree that we should not suppress opinions even if they are hateful.
This actually exposes them more. We should be confident about our message. If their message is weak it will not resonate with masses.

that is more of a discrimination issue and not a sectarian one...but I agree that we should show solidarity regardless of sect, province, cast etc.

I don't think anyone has issues with sharing and commenting on stories.....its important to be educated about the happenings of the world...but some comments deviate from that focus instead on the differences between the faith of sects which is an issue as that does not contribute anything to the current affairs...like you said those differences have been there for ages so why waste time questioning eachother on the basics of faith...

I agree with your point but intentionally there is sugar coated propaganda from other Sect also exist equally here.
For Example AFGHANS fighting against Invaders and TTP on payroll of the Invaders but the Sectarian Hate Mongers
always paint them ONE.

On the other hand STATE Terrorism from Iran is Not a hidden fact from Afghanistan to Iraq, Syria but when you
point a Finger on that it will make them Feel Pain.

Truth should be prevailed and Brutus should be called Brutus rather it is Iran or Saudia.

I found admin's soft forum tilted towards some factions too, so this sectarian debate is kind of instinct of this nation. i dont mind until it is not abusive or personal attacks based on hoax.
debate is better than killing.
i enjoy watching this debate when usually one side either quit or start abusing and getting personal

Your location is suggesting that you’re a resident of a society which promotes and solicit basic traits of Human Rights which include Right of Expression / Freedom of thought and yet you’re pretty much at odds with those values of your adopted country / place of residence.

Kindly come out of this restrictive, censoring and intolerant frame of mind and try to look into the broader perspective of various issues. Sectarian divides in any religion do also concerned with the acquisition of absolute authority and political influence apart from their theological / dogmatic polemics.

Various fragmentations occurred within the major theological sects of Islam since the first few decades of its promulgation by the great Prophet SAW. Sunnis had divisions of Ummayeds and Abbasids (Along with Mutazilites, Asharites, Jabarites etc) along with the Shia’t divisions of Ismailies, Zaidis and Ithna Asharis in that formative period of Muslim civilization. All of them vied for political and religious dominance which stretched all the way down to the modern Era.

Hence differences which imply political agendas do need to be deciphered, discussed and contested in a civilised manner of course without resorting to abuses, personal remarks and disrespectful slurs. If these guys do cross their limits then you do have the right to report their obnoxious posts to the moderators in a discreet manner rather than trumpeting it in the form of a new useless thread.
