Great analysis by Sethi, it really helps to understand the influence of Military Establishment in Pakistani politics.

Every word Sethi said is the truth.

Jinnah was a super rich aristocrat who wanted ultimate control over things but he was damn honest.

A rich liberal but very honest man with a dictatorial mind set.

I see the same thing in Imran Khan. Perhaps this time Imran can live longer and we can see some change.

Imran's biggest challenge would the Army. If it can destroy its political influence perhaps there is still hope for Pakistan.

Sethi's analysis is wonderful but he has twisted the facts. First martial law of Ayub Khan was not what Sethi mentioned - people started agitating on streets and آپ نے مارشل لاء کو دعوت دی . Its not true. People in Punjab never wanted martial Law.

It was the CIA that was active in instigating unrest to accomplish their goal of destabilizing Pakistan because Israeli PM David Ben Gorion had warned Israelis to be careful of Pakistan instead of neighboring Arabs. Also it was CIA's second major test of mind controlling drugs after the installing of the Shah of Iran.

CIA created unrest covertly on one hand and on the other hand they administered mind controlling drug in the food that Ayb Khan. So both, the unrest and convincing Ayub for Martial Law was the works of the CIA. Of course Ayub Khan must not have known that CIA was playing double game just like whats happening in the middle east. i don't need to go any further on that.

Of course Sethi wouldnt say it because he cant blame our all mighty country the good ol US of A. He wants to go and see his family in US.

Also

1. Pak Army is homogenous of Panjab recruited including officers and rank n file. In India most officers are Sikhs but other posts are held mostly by non-Punjabis (Sikhs) so less chances of Martial law because of fear of mutiny from the other group.

2. India has never left us alone. They have continuously created terror covert n overt against us whether it is in the UN or regarding Bangladesh, and NOW as we speak India went in bed with the US and terrorizing us thru Afghanistan.

3. And don't forget the murder of baba-e-millat Liaquat Ali Khan, that played a major role in destabilizing Pakistan mentally and politically.

4 And now US concocted the 911 to invade Afghan and eventually contain our nukes. It just so happened that Allah's help came and the zalemeen are hightailing out of the region. Yu can call it their economic failure or what ever I call it Allah's help.

So my dear readers, if a country is new and you do not leave us alone, and start murdering, how can any country choose its path to democracy.

hate to question Sethi's brilliance but in this context I am a bit disappointed at him.

Gandhi's one statement alone ("Muslims should pay for separation " my uncle told me this) caused major massacre of Muslims in my father's province, Bihar. That gave my folks way to move to East Pakistan.

Sethi sometimes talks so idiotic that it is unbelievable.

My aunt told me that her entire family and neighourhood Hindu families were massacred because Jinnah said "Hindus and the Muslims belong to two different religions, philosophies, social customs and literature.... It is quite clear that Hindus and Muslims derive their inspiration from different sources of history. They have different epics, different heroes and different episodes" (source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/All-India_Muslim_League). Some how she escaped with the reminder of family and relocated to Delhi.

gazoomartian May your contrary be saved from people like you who always have tendencies to spread misinformation and give false historical facts starting from your school text books to discussions in forums. Only God can save your country from people like you who are so stupid and dumb that they are bent upon destroying the people of Pakistan for some reason known to them.
Its time for you to wake up and see what what is happening around you since 65 years. You have pushed your people to the lowest ebb both socially and economically and I wonder what more you have in mind. Do you want to see your people be completely eliminated from this planet or make the Pakistan history on the world map? Wake up you fool. Open your eyes and see the realities around you. We Indians and Pakistanis are same people but because of devils like you, Hamid Gul, lal topi Zaid hamid, the great people of Pakistan have to pay the price. This only he beginning of end that your people are humiliated all over the world. God forbid if the world shall ban and isolate your country because of you idiots. Now I hear you crazy heads are jumping on china back but you forget that they don't give s*** about you but want to take away everything whatever all is left in your country.

ITS ABOUT TIME FOR YOU DEVILS TO SHUT UP AND GREAT PEOPLE OF PAKISTAN TO WAKE UP

huh, is that all you could come up with in your defence,

you are sick.

Since when oxford university was the judge to decide who is right and who is wrong?

Should they not first give honorary degree to amenisty international for writing a report on thousands of Kashmir's in Jammu and Kashmir.

I'm rather concerned about things hapenning today than what happened 70 years ago.

it was our democratic right to demand our rights, and what quaid said was the reality after he was refused of fair rights for muslims under hindu establishment. It was stupidity of hindus to malign that and punish people on the basis of that.It was congress's unfair rule in 1935 that led to this.
Jinnah didn't even want to do politics anymore long before all that happened and had left the region, it was muslim leaders who asked him to comeback. he didn't do anything for himself!

Your Uncle told you quite wrong.Gandhi never told these words. He was a true leader.Fact is that for assets of Pakistan Gandhi started hunger strike, otherwise your short sighted Jinnah had no vision of this problem. We should be thankful to Gandhi who was shot dead for favoring Pakistan. On his death Pakistan's national flag was posted at half mast.I am witness of that event.

Not only that but also the fact about Jinnah,A fabricated history is being taught in our Educational Institutions.Even after so much disaster we are not ready to accept reality.

I do not know whether you are aware that he stays in Canada and wishing a nuclear war in South Asia to free all the rivers. so you can imagine how patriotic he is towards his countrymen. LOL

BTW, he must be preparing cowcola to pour on you in his iggy bin. A safe way to escape reasonable debate.

Yes you are correct but I am trying to use diplomatic language to make a point. Being 100% blunt and putting Jinnah in the ranks of current politicians is going to cause a stir. Unfortunately there a few things we cannot question when the answers are not some thing we are mentally prepared to hear.
