Acting on a tip-off Police raided Gulistan-i-Jauhar area, after a brief encounter, the police arrested Liaquat Bangash, along with four of his companions. It was disclosed that the suspects were involved more than 100 target killing cases. The police recovered four Kalashnikovs, one repeater and three hand grenades from their possession His group was said to consist of more than 200 criminals and professional killers, and was well-known for spreading terror in different areas of Karachi. The group was also involved in kidnapping for ransom, police encounters, extortion, drug peddling; arm trafficking and land grabbing in the area.
Liaquat Bangash and his accomplices were organizing criminal gangs by recruiting children in different areas of Karachi under patronage of ANP Leaders.
