We already know 786 has no meaning in Islam...jsut like we know the sky is blue...

THE MYTH OF 786
It is a matter of FACT that Allah has revealed the Quran in Arabic, as stated in the above selection and in many other verses. Why was the Quran NOT revealed in mathematical figures? WHY ARE WE THEN, CONVERTING IT INTO NUMBERS??? Did Allah, perhaps, commit an error, which our scholars are trying to rectify? (Naoozubillah). What message would mankind have received if the pages of the Quran had filled with numbers and nothing else? It would have been unintelligible and a mystifying conundrum!
We are instructed to recite the Quran Majeed, as can be seen from the following verses: "And (it is) a Quran that we have divided, that you may RECITE it unto mankind ate interval, and We have revealed it by (successive) revelation." (17:106); "RECITE then, of the Quran that is easy for you..." (73:20).
Now would one recite the Quran if it is reduced to numbers? As an example, we shall reduce the Soorah Fatiha to numerical figures for the benefit of the reader.

Al-humdolillaahir rub-ul alamin................................................ 632
Ar-Rahmaan-ur-Raheem......................................................... 618

Does this mean that merely reading 10189 we have read the whole of Soorah al-Fatiha? How easy it is to gain reward by just repeating the numbers! For example, to recite Soorah al-Fatiha ten times, we only have to multiply by ten, i.e. 10189 10 = 101890, and just recite that number. Similarly the whole of the Quran can be reduced to numbers. Meaningless and of NO significance, the numbers will NOT have a message for the whole mankind!
Those who invented the "786", are GUILTY of tampering with the text of the Holy Quran. Muslims are invited to give up this EVIL and disgusting practice of using 786. It is, I repeat, an innovation, evil and in NO WAY sacred. It is a conspiracy against the kitaab (book) of Allah.
This old game of numbers was practised by the ancient Egyptians, as did many other civilisations. Islaam came to ELIMINATE ALL such superstitions, mysteries and numerological mumbo-jumbo. However, Muslims are still enslaved to the number game, and think that 786 represents BISMILLAAHIR RAHMAANIR RAHEEM.
May ALLAH give us all the guidance to practice what is most Pleasing to Him!

It does not matter because most of us do not bother understand the quran anyway. We follow our own make beliefs than try and find out the truth for ourselves.
Languages came about due to conspiracies and so did the numerical systems. It was a way to keep secret information between people of same group from other groups.

@makdaone --- I disagree with u on this... writing or denoting Bismillah b 786 doesn't and never meant that if u read 786 u will get the reward of reading Bismillah... in whole Quran numbers are there... kindly go through a book named Haroof -e- Aijaz... it will increase ur knowledge somewhat regarding the matter.

Although in islam alphanumeric values do not occupy any religious significance people brought in these values for practicalities to ensure the quran was always written the way the prophet told people to write it.
We see haroofe muqattaat written the same way, we see in surah tawba there is no bismillah and we see that bismillah is written without hamzah between baa and seen of bismillah ie word ism is not written as it is in iqra bismi in surah 96. Bismillah was always written using 19 letters not 20. So 786 is a kind of checksum and parity check or a security code. There is nothing wrong with this use of alphanumeric values.
As I sometimes point out problems people have created for themselves by misusing the quran so they have in this case. It is because they take the quran as shifaa in a context that is out of context of the quran. The quran is a divine constitution or moral code or tree of life for mankind. Against which people must not go or result will not be good.
The main problem is mistranslations and misinterpretations. The quran has been given wrong sense through out. The question is who benefited by doing that and who lost because of it? The ruling elite gained and masses lost.
The quran was sent for mankind to create a moral based world order instead the book was thrown behind back and people got on with whatever wicked ambitions and desires they had. This has led masses into severe pain and suffering yet these very people are still not trying to learn from their mistakes.
All who suffer run for taweez and dua the while they ignore the remedies the quran advises. The quran advises that people do not let people take away their freedom, they must stand up against oppression and suppression, injustice, unfairness and cruelty. They are not doing that rather they are running in the opposite direction eg doing nothing at all or are doing things that make matters worse.
So long as people keep doing this things will only get worse for them. It is time people read the quran for themselves for understood it critically not accepting anything as message of the quran that contradicts the quran itself or self evident facts.
All professors of islamiyaat and mullahs must join hands and get the quran translated and interpreted correctly if they really wish to change things for the better for mankind. Unless public at large understands the quran properly, it will not be able to support it as it should so it will bring no benefit. The goal of the quran is covered up the moral frame work is covered up the rules are covered up then no wonder people are so confused about islam as to what exactly it is.
Sects are result of this confusion and to get people out of this confusion people must rediscover the correct message from the text of the quran. It is for this reason all efforts must be concentrated on this one project. Once we get the right message back in our heads the rest will be a piece of cake.
The great scholars of islam have been raising their voices from time to time, it is time for us to go back to them and see where we ought to start again.
Mullahism is a problem not a solution. Immoral world order is creation of ruling elite and people who gave them legitimacy are mullahs ie they acted as their tools to help them use and abuse deen and people.
