جھوٹ بولتے شرم نہیں آتی

As of 2016, countries including Australia, Austria, Denmark, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta,New Zealand, Norway, Philippines, and Portugal have no nuclear power stations and remain opposed to nuclear power.[SUP][7][/SUP][SUP][8][/SUP] Belgium,Germany, Spain and Switzerland are phasing-out nuclear power.[SUP][8][/SUP][SUP][9][/SUP][SUP][10][/SUP][SUP][11][/SUP] Globally, more nuclear power reactors have closed than opened in recent years but overall capacity has increased.[SUP][10][/SUP]
Italy is the only country that has closed all of functioning nuclear plants. Lithuania, Kazakhstan have shut down their only nuclear plants, but plan to built new ones to replace them. Armenia shut down its only nuclear plant but subsequently restarted it. Austria never used its first nuclear plant that was completely built. Due to financial, politic and technical reasons Cuba, Libya, North Korea and Poland never completed the construction of their first nuclear plants (although North Korea and Poland plan to). Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ghana, Ireland,Kuwait, Oman, Peru, Singapore, Venezuela have planned, but not constructed their first nuclear plants.

I m not sure who told you we have restrictions for civil nuclear reactors but as per my information, we are not under embargo regarding civil nuclear reactors. BTW, the CHASNUPP are built and operated by Chinese as are the first one in the world built Chinese by 100% Chinese technology. Not sure who is operating it but CHASNUPP1 was built and operated by Chinese as Pakistani Engineers were not feeling comfortable operating it. Location is strange where strong winds were shutting down reactor in emergency during commission time and came to know that a local politician sold his barren land like a gold mine.
Yes we are making fuel locally which is the case with mos of the nuclear nations.
You may be trained in the Nuclear Power field but based on my knowledge the break even is 600MWe as per western standard where they hire one person not 10 like in our country.
If you search the countries which are constructing Power Project are using 1600MWe per unit.
In terms of KANNUP-1 it was designed for 127MWe but on commissioning found 131MWe but was never operated on full power as at the beginning, Karachi grid was not having capacity and now its aging. Mostly it was running close to 72MWe and remain closed for maintenance few months a year. BTW its Canadian design and even Canadian are not building new reactors for the power purpose.

In short, Nuclear Technology is feasible if we start constructing 600+ MWe projects but location is very important as this technology poses issues. Like we recently saw in Japan and now they are not going to use Nuclear for future growth.

We can generate a lot from rivers and canals like we have in Renala Khurd but from such projects Sharifs and Zardaris can't make money so they are not considering such options.

​وارثی محنت کرو حسد نہ کرو ، خیبر پختون میں 350 ڈیم بنا کے جو 2 میگاواٹ بجلی پیدا کرنے کے عظیم الشان منصوبے بنا رہے ہو اس کے مقابلے میں ،وفاقی اور پنجاب حکومت نے بجلی پیدا کرنے کے میگا پراجیکٹس پہ کام شروع کر رکھا ہے ، 2018 تک بجلی کی لوڈ شیڈنگ کا خاتمہ نیازی کی گٹر سیاست کے لئے کفن ثابت ہوگا۔

Only the accident costs are very high, otherwise they are the best solution. In the wake of modern 4th generation units, now it is becoming necessary to provide the power plants with protection against aerial attacks as well.
