27 Rajab MERAJ (Night journey & the Ascendance)

Glory to (Allah) Who did take His servant (Mohammad) for a journey by night from the Masjid Al- Haram to Masjid- Al-Aqsa, whose precints we did bless in order that We might show him some of our signs: for He is the One Who heareth and seeth (all things).
It is related that the Prophet told his foster-sister Hind bint Abd al-Mutalib: "I was with you last night and I performed the night prayers in this valley, then I went to Beit al-Maqddis where I performed a prayer and here I am performing the morning prayers with you. But when Hind urged him not to tell anybody about it for they would not believe him, he swore by Allah that he was going to do just that. Allah, the most Exalted tells us that the aim of the night journey was to "show him some of Our signs" and the aim of the ascendance to see "some of his Lord's greatest signs", thus proving what we claimed that it was a sacred journey through the universe. The night journey is also a symbolic act to underscore the unity of the Muslim lands and the ties that bond between the Kaaba and the Aqsa Mosque.
According to the Einstein theory of Relativity, light travels at the speed of 186,000 miles per second, and it is possible for man to travel in space at the speed but I believe that Prophet Mohammed (SAW) was taken on this night journey, Miraj ascension perhaps many time faster than the speed of light to travel billions of nautical miles in the space to the farthest reaches of the Universe, which is beyond any human intelligence ever to envisage. I also believe that Prophet Mohammed (SAW) was ascended to heavens on the command of Allah (SUT) not in a spiritual (metaphysical) form but in his bodily form because the Ashiq (Allah) wanted to see and speak to his mahboob (Prophet Mohammed SAW), and his mahboob saw and heard Him both with his eyes and ears. (wallahah allam). Quran calls a journey in outer space a mirage, which means in Arabic both ascendance, and travelling along a curved path. We now know that all bodies in outer space travel along such a path, I knew why Allah used such an expression. How could the Prophet learn this fact 14 centuries ago, were it not for the Divine revelation? It is beyond any human intelligence to calaculate and imagine the speed at which Prophet Mohammed (SAW) was taken on the cosmos journey of possibly of billions.trillions of nautical miles on night of 27th Rajab and brought back on the earth at time of Fajar salat.

Please correct me and forgive me if I have written any thing wrong. Maloomum shud kay haeach maloomum na shud.

My dear, thanks for such a nice post. Please remember that interpreting everything with science can be dangerous as science is an evolving knowledge. It could happen that the knowledge which is proven to be true today might turn out wrong tomorrow. Therefore instead of proving something on the basis of science is dangerous as tomorrow if they would change their mind then would be rethinking our approach to interpret Miraj. We should take it as a mojeza and mojeza is such a thing which can't be ascertained by the human aqal. That's why it is called as mojeza that human wisdom is aajiz to think about that. Better to believe in the things without looking for any scientific evidence. Though science makes the thing logical but it could err as well. Why not you say that I believe in Miraj because the Holy Prophet (SallAllahu aleyhe wasallam) said so and I believe in him full. Think like Sayyadena Abu Bakar(Radhi Allah Unho) who was called 'Siddiqe' when he confirmed that if He(SallAllahu Aleyhe wasallam) has said so then I believe in Him Only. JazakAllah Khair

Totally agree with you, science is just what we know today with the current tools available. We should accept what Allah and His last prophet says, thats why someone got the title of SIDDIQUE. He was really a Siddique, We love them all suffered so much for us.

Jazakallah for such a nice post.
