Can you see the difference? Zulfi is competent but he's also a friend. The line gets blurred. You can make it nepotism or not if you wish.

There is some level of nepotism in it but there is also merit.

My response to you would be completely different in another country but in Pakistani politics, this is a non issue as we have serious problems that CJP needs to focus on.

Zulfi might be qualified or even over-qualified for the job for that matter but his past or his father's past is too controversial to have been taken this lightly. The wealth zulfi enjoys and that became ATM was seeded by his father's ill-gotten wealth....the money his father and uncle embezzled in pakistan...what's not to understand here?

اسلام آباد: چیف جسٹس پاکستان میاں ثاقب نثار نے کہا ہے کہ اقربا پروری کی بات پر بہت ردعمل آیا لیکن بیس دفعہ اقربا پروری کی بات کروں گا اور اگر کسی کو افسوس ہوا تو اس کے لئے عدالتی نظام تبدیل نہیں کرسکتے۔

وزیراعظم عمران خان نے گزشتہ روز انٹرویو میں چیف جسٹس کے اقربا پروری کے ریمارکس پر دکھ کا اظہار کیا تھا۔ آج سپریم کورٹ میں وزیراعظم کے معاون خصوصی زلفی بخاری کی نااہلی سے متعلق کیس کی سماعت ہوئی تو زلفی بخاری کی طرف سے وکیل اعتزاز احسن سپریم کورٹ میں پیش ہوئے۔ زلفی بخاری کے خلاف درخواست گزار عادل چھٹہ نے عدالت سے کہا کہ ان کے وکیل ظفر کلا نوری علاج کے لئے امریکا گئے ہیں، اس لیے سماعت پندرہ دسمبر تک ملتوی کی جائے۔ اعتزاز احسن نے دلائل دیے کہ زلفی بخاری معاون خصوصی ہیں رکن اسمبلی نہیں، وہ لندن میں پیدا ہوئے اور خاندانی کاروبار سےمنسلک رہے، انہوں نے سمندر پار پاکستانیوں کے لیے بہت کام کیا۔

چیف جسٹس نے ریمارکس دیے کہ عدالت نے جہانگیر ترین کیس میں اقربا پروری کی بات کی ہے، اس پر بہت ردعمل آیا، لیکن 20 دفعہ اقربا پروری کی بات کروں گا، کووارنٹو کے لئے اقربا پروری بہترین گراؤنڈ ہے، اگر کسی کو افسوس ہوا اس کے لئے عدالتی نظام میں تبدیلی نہیں کر سکتے، اگر تقرری میں اقربا پروری ہو گی تو ضرورعدالتی جائزہ لیں گے، ہمارا کام انتظامیہ کی تضحیک کرنا نہیں، غالبا کسی نے ان کو بتایا ہی نہیں کہ یہ مقدمہ کووارنٹو کا ہے، اقربا پروری تو ایک گراؤنڈ کے طور پر زیر بحث آیا تھا، درخواست گزار نے تو اقربا پروری کا مسئلہ اٹھایا ہی نہیں تھا۔

چیف جسٹس نے پوچھا کہ زلفی بخاری پاکستان میں کب متعارف ہوئے، وہ لندن میں کسی کو گاڑی پر لیکر گئے تھے۔

درخواست گزار نے جواب دیا کہ ریحام خان کی طلاق کے معاملے پر زلفی بخاری منظر عام پر آئے۔ اس پر چیف جسٹس نے کہا کہ ذاتی معاملے پر زیادہ بات نہیں کریں گے، عدالت افضل بھٹی کو بھی ایسے عہدے سے ہٹا چکی ہے، زلفی بخاری کی کارکردگی سے کوئی سروکار نہیں، عدالت صرف اہلیت اور دہری شہریت کے معاملے کا جائزہ لے گی۔

کیس کی سماعت 25 دسمبر تک ملتوی کردی گئی۔

گزشتہ روز وزیراعظم عمران خان نے سینئر صحافیوں کو انٹرویو دیتے ہوئے کہا تھا کہ چیف جسٹس کی طرف سے اقربا پروری کے ریمارکس پر دکھ ہوا۔ عمران خان نے وزیراعلیٰ پنجاب اور زلفی بخاری کے معاملے پر چیف جسٹس کے ریمارکس پر بھی شکوہ کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ چیف جسٹس کو دیکھنا چاہئے تھا کہ عثمان بزدار صوبے کے چیف ایگزیکٹیو ہیں جب کہ زلفی بخاری سے متعلق چیف جسٹس کے ریمارکس پر دکھ ہوا، میں نے کبھی اقربا پروری نہیں کی، چیف جسٹس کی عزت کرتا ہوں لیکن ان چیزوں پر افسوس ہے۔

واضح رہے کہ 18 ستمبر کو وزیر اعظم عمران خان نے اپنے قریبی دوست ذوالفقار حسین بخاری عرف زلفی بخاری کو اپنا معاون خصوصی برائے اوورسیز پاکستانی مقرر کیا تھا۔ نیب زلفی بخاری کے خلاف آف شور کمپنی کی ملکیت کی بھی تحقیقات کر رہا ہے۔ درخواست گزار عادل چھٹہ نے دہری شہریت کی بنیاد پر زلفی بخاری کی بطور معاون خصوصی تقرری کو سپریم کورٹ میں چیلنج کردیا تھا۔

We have to bear you till 18th January...And if judiciary going on same way as the are since last 50 years..then we have to make a department who keep eyes on all wrong verdicts of all judges and make them accountible.. exposed them in public and medias..
