Re: 18-Hazari bund was not breached in time in order to save Sugar mills of Sharif brothers :- Imran Khan addresses flood victims in Jhang
It s not about the mill that must be drowned.......he is talking about the decision that was made. That mill must have played a role in it......I cannot say if the damage would have been less or more, had they decided to blow the BUND early because l have not seen it. You might be able to help here.......Even if you say the surrounding areas are poor, it is very likely that those people will be working there in the mill....if that is the case then building them up again and helping them would be somewhat Shrifs' responsibility too......that would also cost them along with the mill and work force would be affected as well adding to the cost more.........so they might have decided to go for the areas where they not only save their mill but also all the costs associated with it.......it is just some food for thoughts! Help us make a better decision by informing us more about it.
P.S. Jin ghareebon Ku Mara gayya hai Kia unka qasoor ye hai keh Wu mill ke SATH NAHENN REHTAY??
I passed it on my way 3 weeks ago while I was travelling to naran ...
first I dont think it was ramzan sugar mill .. name was different .. I cant recall actually .. anyone from jhang or chinout can confirm this ..
secondly I dont think it was technically viable to release water there .. it was pretty close to main city .. any water there would have directly affected the city ..
population there must me working there too .. no doubt .. but it cant be only employee population
I dont think i saw any land path free there on the whole road ..
issue is .. here in Pakistan no one tells the truth .. be it noora or ilzam khan ...
any local from there can assess this better ..
ps: ragra to hamesha ghareeb hee jaata hai .. but obviously they couldnt let main city drown .. losses would have been enormous in that case
