Punjab Govt's spokesman, Senator Pervez Rasheed has stated that his party (PMLN) enjoyed support in Punjab and his party had no shortage of candidates, so his party didn't need the support of banned organizations.

Senator sahab! Iss saadgi pay kon na mar jaey aey khuda! Your party is weak in South Punjab (including Jhang).Yaqeen nay aey to ECP ki webiste par ja kar 2008 ka result daikh lein.ASWJ( the political face of LEJ) has good support in the whole south punjab.Though, they can't win a seat at their own but they have 5-10K (may be more) votes in every constituency of South Punjab.Since PPP has performed extremely badly over the last 5 years and also there is no more sympathy vote for PPP, so, at present, PPP is relatively weak in South Punjab.Now, according to PMLN's calculations, if they could garner support from ASWJ in South Punjab, they may win atleast half of the seats from that region.We also know that there is no other party in South Punjab (except PTI) with whom PMLN could make alliance to win those seats.

Finally, if ASWJ has nothing to do with LEJ (as ASWJ claims), then it must condemn the killings committed by LEJ (as they themselves not only confess but also vow to continue these terror activities).I would also like to say that the killings of Sunni Ulema in Karachi is also condemnable and whoever have done this must be brought to justice.(I didn't name any organization in this case as no one has taken the responsibility of Sunny Ulema's killings).

i fully agree with najam sethi. i have said almost the same things but who is sincere to do the job in the national interest-No One. Neither civilian govt nor establishment seems to be interested at all otherwise which institution can play the policy of hide and seek- no where in the world.Does army need the permission to wipe out the militants in karachi and Quetta if they are serious to do the job? when army take over the govt ,do they ask them first? This just depend how sincere and patriotic they are, I dont blame the whole lot but in high up , it seems there are no feelings for the nation otherwise this nation does not pay that high price for the sake of so called bloody democracy. There are some games and conspiracies going on which this nation will pay the price because of our incompetent and insincere lords sitting at high up. PML-N is 100% involved with LEJ and SS just for their election whereas the militants of LEJ carried out attack on Sri Lankan cricket team .Those people are still in jail ,no trial and no punishment but nation paid the price .Now we know who was behind the attack on SL team but still nothing happened.Is there anyone in the country watching whats happening in the country and care about it -i dont think so. In Krachi and Quetta police is politicised and FC in Quetta ,their actities are suspicious and establishment knows that so why army dont take the action for three to four weeks and clean up the cities but they dont wanna do it because they are not sincere with this nation. Saudi funding is another root cause of terrorism in the country against shias, I just wanna say to them "what goes around comes around" so they should be carefull because God almighty is watching them . Thats the opinion of many not just mine.
