پاکستان میں ٹیوٹا کمپنیوں کی گاڑیاں تیار کرنے والی کمپنی انڈس موٹرز کمپنی نے امپورٹس پر عائد پابندیوں کو دیکھتے ہوئے عارضی طور پر پلانٹس بند کرنے کا اعلان کردیا ہے۔

تفصیلات کے مطابق انڈس موٹرز کمپنی کی جانب سے پاکستان اسٹاک ایکسچینج کو بذریعہ نوٹس آگاہ کیا کہ امپورٹس کیلئے ایل سیز کھلنے میں ہونےوالی تاخیر کے باعث پروڈکشن جاری نہیں رکھ سکتے لہذا 20 سے 30 دسمبر تک پروڈکشن یونٹ کو مکمل طور پر بند کیا جارہا ہے۔

انڈس موٹرز کا کہنا ہے کہ اسٹیٹ بینک نے آٹو سیکٹر کوامپورٹس کیلئے پیشگی اجازت لینے کا ایک نظام متعارف کروایا،اس نظام کے تحت کمپنی اور اس کے وینڈرز کو امپورٹس کیلئے اجازت لینے میں تاخیر اور رکاوٹوں کا سامنا کرناپڑاجس کے نتیجے میں کمپنی کے پاس امپورٹڈ پارٹس اور خام مال کی قلت پیدا ہونا شروع ہوگئی، اس سارےعمل میں تاخیر سے گاڑیوں کی پروڈکشن ، سپلائی چین اس قدر متاثر ہوئی کہ موجودہ حالات میں گاڑیوں کی پروڈکشن جاری رکھنا تقریبا ناممکن ہوگیا ہے۔

کمپنی نے کہا کہ اس ساری صورتحال کو دیکھتےہوئے فیصلہ کیا گیا ہے کہ 20 سے 30 دسمبرتک کمپنی اپنے پروڈکشن پلانٹس کو مکمل طورپر بند کردے گی۔

خیال رہے کہ پاکستان میں آٹو انڈسٹری مکمل طور پر امپورٹس پر چلتی ہے،تاہم روپے کی قدرمیں بدترین گراوٹ کو دیکھتے اور ڈالر کی اڑان کو روکنے کیلئے اسٹیٹ بینک نے ایل سیز پر پابندیاں عائد کرنا شروع کردیں تاکہ امپورٹ بل کو کم کیا جاسکے،انڈس موٹرز حکام نے گزشتہ ماہ ان پالیسیوں کو تنقید کا نشانہ بناتے ہوئے کہا تھا کہ ایسی پالیسیوں سے ملک میں آٹو انڈسٹری کو شدید نقصان پہنچ رہا ہے، کمپنی نے اسٹیٹ بینک سے مطالبہ کیا تھا کہ آٹو سیکٹرامپورٹ بل میں صرف 3 فیصد کا حصے دار ہےلہذا اس سیکٹر کیلئے امپورٹس پر عائد پابندیوں کو نرم کیا جائے۔

Are you sure locally made cars cost double than imported ones?.Locally made cars provide employment to people.They also help local suppliers of various bits and parts needed in cars.Why do you think other countries give special incentive to foreign car companies to open plants in their countries.In Turkey for example several foreign car companies manufacture cars.It is very good for the economy.

I have never worked in Pakistan so I don’t know about salaries.Ideally everyone should get a decent salary but in a country with so much unemployment many people will work for peanuts.It is better than being jobless.

I could give you an example. I have worked in such a plant in Karachi and in North America. At one place I got Rs. 15000 per month and at another place 15000 USD per month. Happy!!

If you were earning Rs 15000 per month in Pakistan then this implies you were not very skilled or experienced.The average annual salary for a skilled car worker in US is around $40000 so I don’t believe you can make $15000 per month doing a similar job.If you said $1500 per month that makes sense.

I wrote before that I was an engineer. FYI I started with the assembly plant at Rs 8000 per month.Offcourse I am not a mechanic. I used to have a senior position in the company.
Nobody gets 4000 USD per month or 40k USD in the US. For that money, you can't even survive as a bachelor. I think you have no idea about the salaries in the US for professionals. Go and check the salaries of senior engineers. They start from USD 150k+
