God does not work in mysterious ways rather he has told us his plan and purpose as well as the way he does things to fulfil his plan and purpose as well as our part in grand scheme of things. All we humans need to do is figure out his message for us properly and do what needs to be done so that purpose of God for creating all things including humans becomes fulfilled.
Whatever we need from God is told in the quran so figuring out the message in the quran properly is the right way to go or to know and do things. The quran is the help and support from God for humanity and there is nothing else that could help mankind.
Figuring out the right purpose of creation and the right way by which that purpose could be fulfilled by God and people partnership is the main thing. Get this wrong and you can end up ruined no matter what else you think or do.
