Plasma donation is not a practical solution even if valid. Reason being you will never have sufficient Plasma to treat millions of Patient every year. What a stupid doctor - reminds me of that person who was claiming he can run a car on water.

No harm in searching for every possible cure specially when other methods are also not confirmed success at the moment. You will find yourself to be the luckiest guy on earth if your loved one is on ventilator and you know that you can save him by a Covid-19 Survivors plasma as oppose to the situation where you know he has to die just because you didn't support a less viable saving method.

Don't know what you are trying to say but for now using Plasma as a cure is just an assumption which is why they are trying to establish if it really can prove as a cure or they should mark it as a non practical solution and move on to the next possible solution, which is how medical(and Science) researches are normally done.
