ہاں پوری پاکستانی قوم منافق ہے ۔
وہ بھی منافقت کا حصہ ہے جو خود تو مومن ہے لیکن آس پاس برائی دیکھ کر خاموش ہے ۔

اب لگا شور۔ میں نے قوم کو گالی دی۔

Pakistan's Foreign Policy is absolutely not a business of fouj and ISI either, but why do they have their fingers in it?

I do believe that people-to-people interaction like aman ki aasha is a good step. It improves on our perception of each other. Right now whenever the word "Hindu" is mentioned the only image we get is that of a god crazed, half naked, fiend chasing 10 year old Muslim girls and throwing them into bonfire with their pitch forks. Similarly when word "Muslim" is mentioned to a Hindu the only image he gets is a god crazed fiend beating his 4 chained wives and preparing his suicide jacket.

All thanks to this imagery goes to our fouj and the religious nuts on their side. It is time that normal people take over and create the images of each other of truly what we are.

Then they should be ready for what you call media trial also, including their alleged or real role in assassination and torture of journalists and ordinary Pakistanis.

Remember, what people are up against - they are up against the "institution" which is armed to the teeth, it shows no hesitation in murdering the same people that it is supposed to be answerable to, it is the one who doctors every election and impose upon us the low lives like Zardari; it is the one who doctors election to send low lives and criminals in assemblies, who do not have a back bone to stand up for any public issue. What options then people are left with to vent their anger against the bullies who have corrupted everything that was once good in Pakistan????

I think people like you, albeit well meaning, are confused whether Pakistan is a democracy or a praetorian nightmare. For me, and some others on this forum, the vision of Pakistan is very clear, that it is a Constitutional Democracy, and it has always been since the first general elections were held in 1938 in the subcontinent. If we accept this premise then media or press is the fifth estate of Pakistan (along with Executive, Parliament, and Judiciary). It means media is the conscience of the state and its people. It does not matter, whether it is social media or a corporate media. In constitutional democracies army is subservient to the (four estates mentioned above) and hence has lesser importance. People of Pakistan must not given an inch to anyone on this arrangement, regardless of how many guns they have.
