Few days ago Shah Mehmood Qureshi gave a statement about going around the OIC, if it does not align itself with Pakistan’s stance on Kashmir.
True – the OIC was never of any use for Muslims under any kind of oppression. Name it, Palestine, Kashmir, Kurds, Serbs, or Rohingya, OIC was never there for anyone. Arabs were always tilted to the business and selling their oils. They always leaned on the US assurances for securities for ruling monarchs. Therefore, they always played the role of western agents in the Muslim world.
But who are the non-Arab Muslims that we want to align behind us? What options are we left with? Let us look at some - panoramically.
The biggest one is Indonesia: A totally isolated introvert nation that has always kept to its own. Never got involved in any international affair. So much silent that most commoners don’t even know Indonesia is a Muslim country.
Malaysia: A relatively better and economically stable Muslim state but a copy of Indonesia in terms of international affairs. Ex-PM Mahathir had a personal vision of being an international player, but that appetite also looks as ex after him.
Iran: A different pole – the leader of Shia block, always busy in safeguarding its position. Therefore, too busy in its own Agenda. Never able to get out of this leadership. Iran was, or will never ever be accepted by any non-Shia Muslim nation to take a lead.
Turkey: A new brilliant face of Muslims in the modern world. Locked back for ages after the demise of Saltanat Usmania, Turkey was never seen as a real Muslim country. The new Muslim face of this country emerged from the last 10-15 years under the leadership of Tayyip Erdogan. Is this a Muslim face of Just Erdogan or Turkey, no one knows that yet. There is no other face in Turkey like Erdogan. There seems to be a big leadership vacuum behind him. No other name in that country who can carry this Muslim flag. What will happen after him is yet to be determined.
Qatar: Temporarily in the bad books of Arabs due to its itch of having a share in leadership. However, has not don’t anything that goes grossly against the existing Arab policies
African Muslim Countries: There are some bits and pieces of African Muslim countries which themself are dominantly Arabs.
What other then OIC exists in the Muslim world. Who are we going to align behind us which will bring India on its knees? How the hell rest of the western world will accept it ---- No one is thinking about this Question.
Saudi Arabia is economically in a tight situation due to falling oil demand. They are not able to spoon-feed us as IK told his disciples after being Prince’s chauffeur. It was the anniversary of the Indian unilateral act on Kashmir Status and Qureshi gave just a diplomatic statement. It is not echoing anywhere in the Arab media. But our philosophers backed by Haqeeqat TV and few anchors are making it as a big shift in the earth axis. ------ Come on guys, please be sensible.
Neither Pakistan has economical might to withstand the enmity of Arabs, nor the rest of the world will accept it. ---- Stop dancing before it makes trouble for your IK
