On a sidenote, do we have any historical precedence for any high profile politician being convicted for tax default/financial corruption by SC?

if article 62 and 63 implemented ,about 50% to 60% will be rejected and they should be . Those corrupt , bank defaulters and imcompetent should be out of parliament. Election Commission should be lenient on physical character of the person otherwise rejection will be 100% ?

It doesn't look like that any big name will be disqualified for want of substantial evidence, but given the fact that masses are coming out now to vent their frustrations be it PTI Jalsas or TUQ Dharna...I guess EC would try to act less biased in favour or Mafia aka PPP & PML N and likes.

CJ might have deferred the action against EC constitution as for now, but this will open up the pandora box if Election results are too much diluted due to rigging, then the onus of rigged elections will be shared by SC as well.

IF, and I say IF, any BIG politician is disqualified on the basis of 62, 63, his son/grandson/nephew/brother would contest on his seat and those who give VOTES to 'the families' will still be slaves to 'these families'. It doesn't matter to them if it's father, son, brother or even an electricity pole ERECTED BY this family, they will vote them.
