Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court on Wednesday has dismissed the petition against Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Chief of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F), for hate speech against institutions and government, GNN reported.
Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court, Athar Manullah heard the petition against JUI-F Chief Fazlur Rehman.
The petition was filed by Advocate Shah Jehan in which he maintained that JUI-F chief tried to incite the people against State Institutions.
The court declard the petition against Maulana Fazlur Rehman as invalid for hearing.
On October 16, the Islamabad High Court dismissed all petitions against the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl’s (JUI-F) anti-government ‘Azadi March’ and remarked that no court in the world can abolish the right of demonstration,
It is pertinent to remember that JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman had announced that his party’s anti-government ‘Azadi March’ to Islamabad will take place on October 31 instead of October 27.
"We have decided to enter Islamabad on October 31," he said, adding that marchers will express solidarity with Kashmiris on Oct 27 and then leave for the federal capital.
