I said in my post that the cricketing legend of 90s was ruling this province and good governance was going on, how in the hell could he not make one single international level cricket ground?

Have you ever been to Peshawar? There are kids everywhere playing cricket, the whole fucking province would come to watch the match because we don't have any other form of entertainment and we love Cricket.

How the hell couldn't PTI make one cricket ground or install flood lights in stadiums? When a mega project like BRT can be made.

If the police is competent and professional then terrorists cannot do anything not to mention Pakistan is a peaceful country now.

If international players can come to Karachi they can come to Peshawar.

I was born in Peshawar and live in Cantt. Cricket is loved all over Pakistan and Peshawar is no exception. Even if things were normal - Yes it would have gathered massive crowd. however not even close to capacity and facilities of Gaddafi or National Stadium. However plans are underway to put lights in the stadium.

Nobody is stealing credit and role of Army. AlhamdoLillah we love our armed forces and acknowledge the pivotal role they played in rooting out terrorism. I am talking about the time when APS incident had not occurred and PTI govt took over. Security was still a major concern and PTI led KPK govt requested multiple times to deploy FC to protect and defend KPK but that was not done.

While security situation has improved. Still long way to go. It is not what we think is peaceful - As far as common Pakistani is concerned yes this is a peaceful time and everyone can breath some relief. However it is the international teams, boards and players - what do they think about security situation. At the moment we can't even convince teams like Afghanistan to do a full tour. The only team agreed was WI women for 2 T20 matches. But we will get there slowly inshAllah

No one is controlling Media - they are free to report. Its all about people of Peshawar and KPK. Are they happy with PTI's performance as compared to ANP, MMA, PMLN and PPP.
Though I believe metro was not required or they could have waited till PTI's win in fed govt to go with initial plan of making BRT on railway lines. Which would have saved billions. having said that

I would again say and now it look you are too far from reality. These decisions are taken on purely commercial basis. Only when there are many ODI or 20/20 or tests then they are given to various centres. If you are talking in the sense of love of cricket, just visit Hyderabad, Faisalabad, Multan these are bigger cities, possibly double in size and population and they are as cricket loving as Peshawar and all these cities even have test standard cricket ground and at the moment these cities are as peaceful as Lahore or Karachi. But if these have been made venues for these sole events then better leave commercialism and start giving charity to PCB.
