It's debatable but not until the system is reformed. We have a corrupt system where law is used by the every powerful for their own benefit wherever possible. If this is implemented now then you will see more innocents hanged than the really deserving ones.

When a law is not enforceable , it is used to suppress the people. If such laws worked China would have been the most honest country but it is not. The solution to eliminate the financial corruption is reduce the distance between haves and have-nots. Which is not easy is to achieve, and will not be achieved in Pakistan in our life time .

The law of death penalty for the corrupt will never be passed as the people who are responsible to pass laws are corrupt themselves. You think they would like to hang themselves?

Obviously not. But be assured that even if such law is approved somehow through a miracle, It will be abused by the same corrupt powerful looters against their honest/innocent opponents proving them to be corrupt through money, power and influence. Any good law can be more counter productive unless you have a perfect system in place.
