How much does it cost to use helicopter between the PM house and Bani Gala

Since the Helicopter can fly in a straight line so its (1 Air Mile = 1.5 Road Miles)
keeping it to 5.33 miles from PM house to Bani Gala.
A Helicopter Costs about 7 miles per gallon (1 Gallon = 4.54 litres) = 1.54 miles/ litre.
To Cover 5.33 Miles, it needs 3.46 litres of Fuel. (5.33 / 1.54)
Cost of Jet Fuel = Rs 250 per litre. (Although government can get it cheaper).
So, From PM House to Bani Gala it costs = 3.46 litres x Rs 250 = Rs 865
Distance is 8.6 km (Air miles) so Cost = Rs 100 per Kilometre.
Since government gets the oil cheaper so it can safely be said that it costs Rs 60 per kilometre to use the helicopter which is safe and efficient as compared to using 7 to 10 cars and block the roads for the protocol.

Well i agree to your calculation, for most of the people it would be hard to digest that Holicopter fuel consumption charges are so low.

Its actually true.

The major incurring cost while you have helicopter is its non fuel operational cost which includes maintenance, mandatory upgrade of equipment to follow safety regulations, expense related to its shelter and helipads care. Now all these maintenance/OPEX charges will remain there for Pak. Govt. owned chopper as they need to keep this helicopter even if its not being frequently used.

So, as an example... if a daily fuel consumption for 10 km distance by Helicopter is 2000PKR and average daily OPEX (excluding fuel) is 4000 per day...

then that 4000 per day OPEX will remain there even if Imran khan use this helicopter or not. ( By the way this OPEX will also be there for other mode of transportation though may be less, e.g; for cars it will be like 1500-2000 per day).

In short, i do not see any major EXPENSE incurred due to usage of helicopter....

However, what is the point of using small PM house for residence.....then using usual big PM house for office work and using Bani Gala personal residence for Party meetings :-/ ???? the cost of maintaining security and other necessities will eventually be high again.

IK should simply use ONE house ...ONE office for all sort of meetings instead of hopping between 3 places on daily basis.

Fawad Chaudhry quoted the cost of travel, not maintenance cost, or wages for the pilot of any other charges. The maintenance guys are getting paid, so is the pilot, the running cost is accurate.

b) yes uses jet fuel
c) yes requires maintainence- as part of its contract as these are on lease
d) calculated- on a calculator
e) Number of trips: 0-10>> u can choose any number
