Thank God, it is his last day in office. His last month in his seat has been the most controversial, disreputable and stained his reputation as an impartial judge. He often mentioned in his addresses one of the ablest and celebrated English judges of the 20th Century also remembered as the "People's Judge" who used to say, "There is a general principle that the more unusual a clause, the more attention should be drawn to it. This is the so-called “red hand rule”, named after the suggestion by Lord Denning that some clauses could only be valid if they were printed in red ink, with a red hand pointing to them.

Unfortunately, his verdict on the issue of extension of COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa was distasteful and mournful that denigrated the office of the Commander-in-Chief of Pakistan Armed Forces as if he was talking about recommending an extension to the services of an office peon or an office manager. There was no red clause printed with a red hand with bold prints in Pakistan's constitution regarding this highly important post, he should not have left it to last two days of COAS tenure to have taken the Suo Moto. He showed prejudice and invented a red clause in a hasty way that will stigmatize his long legal career.

And, his dubious and lukewarm condemnation of the marauding, vandalizing and rampaging rascals in black coats acts of depraved violence in Punjab Institute of Cardiology last week that caused the death of four patients being treated in the ICU and other wards and serious injuries to other patients and visitors to the hospitals was utterly disgusting and shameful. He should have had the decency to apologize to the families of those who died on that day because of the most barbaric, uncivilized and inhumane acts of violence, death and destruction and gangsterism by the members of the legal profession. His attitude was regrettable.

Asif khosa is a hero. If he had Asif khosa in 1960s , we would have never seen martial law in Pakistan. Pakistan would have been a better democratic state.
